AgChoice Donates to Westmoreland County Food Bank
October 12, 2018
As part of its annual customer and community appreciation event, AgChoice Farm Credit’s New Stanton branch donated $250 to the Westmoreland County Food Bank
Jennifer Miller, representing the food bank, said the donation would supply 2,500 meals for area residents in need.
“As an agricultural cooperative, we believe that community involvement is mission critical,” said Jim Hoge, AgChoice regional lending manager. “We are honored to support the Westmoreland County Food Bank and our community with this donation.”
AgChoice employees and directors hosted the event at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Dunbar. Over 200 customer-owners, community members and their families enjoyed a complimentary meal, pies and ice cream, door prizes, cookie decorating, wine tasting and kiddie tractor pulling. Local bluegrass band Well Strung provided live music.
