AgChoice Farm Credit’s Cumberland Valley (Chambersburg) branch office recently received special recognition from Bill Wehry, Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) state executive director. At an annual meeting held between the Chambersburg AgChoice office and Gettysburg FSA office, Wehry presented a certificate of recognition for AgChoice’s extraordinary partnership in administration of the FSA Guaranteed Loan Program.
Through September 30, 2009, AgChoice’s Chambersburg office increased FSA guaranteed loan volume by $10,800,000, including principal pay down since January 1, 2009. “The cooperation and coordination between AgChoice’s Chambersburg staff and the Gettysburg FSA office is a model relationship, resulting in a high level of success and respect among the organizations,” cited Wehry.
“FSA’s Guaranteed Loan Program is an excellent tool for us to use with our customers,” explains Crystal Standish, branch manager of AgChoice’s Cumberland Valley office. “Especially in today’s tough economy, it allows us to better serve our customers in a time of need. We truly appreciate our strong partnership with FSA and its staff.”
These two organizations work together routinely throughout the year, then meet once annually to learn about changes to any FSA programs and discuss how they can strengthen their working relationship. In addition to the special awards presentation, FSA representatives led discussions on new funding loan limits, conservation plans, interest assistance programs, as well as other program updates at the recent meeting.
AgChoice Farm Credit’s Cumberland Valley branch office is located in Chambersburg, Pa. and services more than $215 million in total loan volume for agricultural and rural customers in Cumberland, Franklin, Fulton and Perry counties in Pennsylvania.
