• What is Your Farm’s Cost of Production? - Mike Hosterman, AgChoice Dairy Consultant

  Knowing your cost of production (milk margin, income over feed cost, etc.) is essential to managing your cash flow and business budget. This session will focus on key financial metrics to help you understand your costs better and assist you in the decision-making process.

• The “How-To’s” of Risk Management - Alan Zepp, Center for Dairy Excellence

  Get the answers to all of your forward contracting questions. During this session, you will learn the “how-to’s” of risk management including selecting a broker, timing of forward contracting and broker expectations.

• Using Today’s Newest Dairy Risk Management Tools - Ashley Hicks, Crop Insurance Specialist

  In addition to our farm and loan programs, AgChoice offers a number of insurance products to help protect you and your investment. Ashley will provide an overview of the LGM - Dairy Program and identify risk management tools that you can use in your operation.

• Risk Management Strategies - Katie Krupa, Dairylea

  Hear about the various milk price risk management strategies used to protect your milk price during a down cycle and benefit your operation for potentially higher milk prices.
